Car #1 S. Ogier / J. Ingrassia (Volkswagen Polo R WRC): (Taking a walk round the car) “I am getting some fresh air the stage is very slow and you do not get much air in the car…it’s really hot. Now you need the hard, so far I am happy with my tyres choice and I try to make the best of it”.
Car #3 H. Paddon / J. Kennard (Hyundai New Generation I20 WRC): “I just made a mistake. There is no more to say”. (Off the road in the last corner)
Car #9 A. Mikkelsen / A.Jaeger (Volkswagen Polo R WRC):“These stages are better. As said earlier, compared to the first loop, they are really two different rallies”.
Car #5 M. Ostberg / O. Floene (Ford Fiesta RS WRC): “I have 2 spares, hopefully we can gain a bit at the end of the loop with the new tyres. At the moment we are losing a little by carrying an extra wheel”. [The only one with 2 spare tyres, oil smell and dropped a bit of oil].
Car #3 H. Paddon / J. Kennard (Hyundai New Generation I20 WRC): “I just made a mistake. There is no more to say”. (Off the road in the last corner).
Car #4 D. Sordo / M. Marti (Hyundai New Generation I20 WRC):”I saw some people near the finish line and I slowed down but I did not see Hayden. I had a good feeling on the stage, I tried hard but time is not so good”.
Car #2 J.-M. Latvala / M. Anttila (Volkswagen Polo R WRC): “Everybody is on hard tyres. It is a very hard and technical stage. Overall we had a good day. There is lots of dust in the car. It comes through the roof vent”.
Car #12 O. Tanak / R. Molder (Ford Fiesta RS WRC): “It is so grippy now, it is nice to drive but I think I went too quickly. I need to be really really careful”.
Car #20 T. Neuville / N. Gilsoul (Hyundai New Generation I20 WRC): “Jari-Matti did well but I pushed hard and finally the time is nice. The car is working OK in these conditions. When the ruts are already there I can push the rear into them”.
Car #6 E. Camilli / B. Veillas (Ford Fiesta RS WRC): “We managed to fix the problems now and the car is working quite well. For us this is like the first stage, as this morning we were like in road sections. We pushed but it’s not possible to do more”.
Car #21 M. Prokop / J. Tomanek (Ford Fiesta RS WRC): “The stage was quite rough sometimes and understeering is difficult. Big rocks and too soft, it is very difficult to drive. Next stage is different again, this one was really bad for me. The car setup is too soft for these conditions”.
Car #16 H. Solberg / I. Minor (Ford Fiesta RS WRC): “The throttle is still not working properly and I am losing time, but they will fix it tonight”.
Car #34 T. Suninen / M. Markkula (Skoda Fabia R5): “Front right tire destroyed by a rock”.
