Car #1 S. Ogier / J. Ingrassia (Volkswagen Polo R WRC): “This time gives an idea on how different the road surface is now. It is much better, more abrasive and enjoyable for us. I have to check tyres but for sure they will be worn”.
Car #9 A. Mikkelsen / A.Jaeger (Volkswagen Polo R WRC): “I run a clean stage but lost some time near the end,I don’t know why maybe I was too careful. These stages are really hard for the tyres”.
Car #5 M. Ostberg / O. Floene (Ford Fiesta RS WRC): “Quite a good stage but I am struggling with the balance of the car, but there is still one stage to go”.
Car #4 D. Sordo / M. Marti (Hyundai New Generation I20 WRC):”I tried to find the rhythm but it is difficult driving out of the line. It is very slippery and rough. I was braking too early. I hoped for a better time. Next stage will be very difficult for the tyres”
Car #2 J.-M. Latvala / M. Anttila (Volkswagen Polo R WRC): “I have a strange feeling with turning of the car, maybe the front diff… I am not completely happy with it. The car is understeering and it is not biting enough when applying throttle. They will hopefully fix it tonight”.
Car #12 O. Tanak / R. Molder (Ford Fiesta RS WRC): “I do not know. I also have a puncture. These are the only tyres I have for the next stage. Okay, slicks it is then..” [Puncture on the rear left, nothing left in the front]
Car #20 T. Neuville / N. Gilsoul (Hyundai New Generation I20 WRC): “It’s going well, a bit sliding on this stage. Not feeling too comfortable, but in the clean line the car is working well, outside it is difficult. I tried to brake hard and not lock the wheels”.
Car #6 E. Camilli / B. Veillas (Ford Fiesta RS WRC): “Yeah the stage was good, we tried to do a good time but it is not that good. The car is working well now. Here we are like in the first pass… I do not know where I lost time. Tyres don’t look too bad, one stage to go”.
Car #21 M. Prokop / J. Tomanek (Ford Fiesta RS WRC): “We have some noise from the rear, very disturbing but don’t know what it is. The feeling with the car is quite OK but the noise is terrible. Handling is OK and one stage to go”.
Car #16 H. Solberg / I. Minor (Ford Fiesta RS WRC): “I am flat out. I cannot go any faster. I am happy. Everything is sorted with the car.”.
Car #37 L. Bertelli / S. Scattolin (Ford Fiesta RS WRC): “I have a puncture, I do not know I made stupid mistakes but the car is OK. Only one stage to go, we will start again tomorrow”. [Front right puncture]
Car #10 K. Abbring / S. Marshall (Hyundai I20 WRC): “Better than in the morning, I was really careful in the previous one and kept the ride-height high in here. Struggling a bit for the rhythm and also for traction, we are all wearing a lot of tyres”.
