Legend Overalls Collection, a World exhibit in memory of Henri Toivonen and Sergio Cresto.
An unprecedented event in WRC
Legend Overalls Collection, the world’s most complete collection of original fireproof racing suits in a travelling museum will be present at the Rally Italia Sardegna.
Born from an idea of the organizer Francesco Buffi, the project aims at reuniting the most famous names of the history of rallying.
The 34yrs old from Buonconvento (Tuscany) – theater of some legendary stages of the Rallye Sanremo – managed to persuade a lot of national and international champions to get their fireproof racing suits off the shelfs and make them available for the first World Rally Museum, the only one in the world that is about to be approved by FIA.
This Italian project has Sparco as partner and will be dedicated to the memory of Henri Toivonen and Sergio Cresto, that exactly 30 years ago obtained their last win in Sardinia, before tragically ending their lives a few days afterwards in Corsica.
In this occasion, Harri Toivonen – brother of the late Henri – will be the special guest with the presence of the Lancia Delta S4 winner of the 1985 RAC and the most important racing suits used by Henri and Sergio.
The Legend Overall Collection – World Rally Museum will open on Wednesday 8 June for works drivers and team managers, before being available to all fans free of charge.
The chance to relive 40 years of WRC history with pictures, footage, relics and stats in a single place and moment is served.
A unique chance at the Service Park area of Alghero from 8 to 12 June.
