Car #30 A. Rajhi / M.Orr (Ford Fiesta RS Wrc): “We overshot it on this one too, but it is OK. It was on a tough and slippery corner, pace notes were good. Nice stage and nice view”.

Car #10 K. Abbring /S. Marshall (hyundai i20 WRC): “I could not downshift in a corner, but then it worked again. Then next corner the car stopped completely. I had to do a power cycle and now it seems OK. It is difficult, to get a clean run here, it is difficult to find the rhythm this morning”.

Car #9 A. Mikkelsen / A. Jaeger(Volkswagen Polo R WRC): “Probably the worst stage I’ve ever done in terms of cleaning. I struggled for grip, sliding side to side”.

Car #21 M. Prokop / J. Tomaken ( Ford Fiesta RS WRC): “Nothing compared to other stages. Quite fine dust, it is interesting to drive on a stage like this like Dakar. I hit a big stone in the middle of the car sector halfway through. I think it might have been because Andreas was pushing a bit. Not very easy”.

Car #6 E. Camilli / B. Veillas (Ford Fiesta RS WRC): “Engine problem, not sure what it is. ” [concerned, engine cut out twice and it sounds strange] First WRC stage’s win for Camilli.

Car#16 H.Solberg / H. I. Minor ( Ford Fiesta RS WRC): “My rear right suspension is broken. I pushed as hard as I could. It is not easy, when I am breaking the car goes sideways. I do not care, I just drive. Do not know how the suspension got broken”.

Car #12 O. Tanak / R. Molder (Ford Fiesta RS WRC): “All good, no worries. It is difficult to drive this one, a tricky rally. I will try to manage to get to the end of it”.

Car #4 D. Sordo / M. Marti (Hyundai New Generation i20 WRC): “I overshot a junction but nothing very important. Very slippery and rocky stage, narrow and difficult to drive”.

Car #1 S. Ogier / J. Ingrassia (Volkswagen Polo R WRC): “A bit like driving on the beach. There is so much sand everywhere. Not so enjoyable to drive. In conditions like this I don’t think there will be a big push on the Power Stage. If I finish third i can get still lots of valid points”.

Car #2 J.-M. Latvala / M. Anttila (Volkswagen Polo R WRC): “I lost three seconds on the first stage and the gap is 19s and that is really annoying . I have no chance to catch Thierry without a mistake so I am just trying to get a good feeling and rhythm avoiding big risks”.

Car #20 T. Neuville / N. Gilsoul (Hyundai New Generation i20 WRC): “Jari-Matti never gives up! A pretty clean run but It will be tough for the car on the second pass. I feel comfortable I am happy with the car, I am enjoying it”.

Car #32 A.Kremer /P. Winklhofer ( Skoda Fabia R5) : “It is a Dakar race as for all the others. No traction and very difficult to drive, but it is OK that is what spectators like”.

Car #41 M. Aasen / V.Engan (Ford Fiesta R5) : “I had problems yesterday, but that is rallying. You need to focus on the next stages. Not so rough in here, but it is very loose and rapid. Difficult conditions but we are learning”.

Car #48 F. Turan / G. Zsiros (Ford Fiesta R5): “I had a problem yesterday, a broken steering arm. We went off and were lucky we did not hit a big stone or anything. Today it is OK, but I do not like these conditions”.

Car #61 F. Andolfi / M. Fenoli ( Peugeot 208 R2): “We had a good weekend, stages are very difficult and very slippery but OK. Very difficult with a 2WD car, there were big rocks on the road and it is very very slippery”.

Car #62 D. De Tommaso / P.Rocca ( Peugeot 208 R2): “Very difficult stages. Today I have a small problem with the gearbox switch but everything else is OK”
